Former NBA player Kobe Bryant had this reason why he chose to use a private helicopter in and around Los Angeles.
Last Sunday (US time), the world was shocked upon hearing the news about the death of the basketball legend. Although he already retired, Kobe remained active in promoting the sports that he loves and brought him stardom.
He was also able to pass on to her daughter Guinna her passion for playing basketball. Unfortunately, the promising young athlete was also among the deceased in the said helicopter crash.
Following this sad news, the world mourned for Kobe, his daughter, and the people who were with them. People expressed on social media their emotions regarding the accident. Meanwhile, Rex Chapman, also a retired NBA player shared Kobe Bryant’s interview wherein he was talking about using his private helicopter.
The late basketball player, known as Mamba, pointed out the traffic as the hindrance to why he is missing activities or events. Then, using the helicopter for his transportation eased that problem.
“I had to figure out a way where I can still train and focus on the craft but still not compromising the time. So, that’s when I bought the helicopter,” he said during an interview. Kobe added that since that happened, his routine was almost the same.
He also shared that he refused his wife’s offer to fetch their kids after school because he wanted to do it himself. Through the helicopter, he can get home in a short period of time from the events and activities he is attending to.
“I want to do that because you know, you have road trips in times, you don’t see your kids. Every chance I get to see them and spend time with them even if it’s 20 minutes in your car,” Kobe Bryant said.
