SSS & GSIS Is Now Offering Calamity Assistance to Taal Eruption’s Victims
CALAMITY ASSISTANCE – SSS and GSIS are now offering calamity assistance to the victims of the unexpected Taal’s eruption.
The Government Service Insurance Service (GSIS) is offering emergency loans to its members residing in Cavite and Batangas who were affected by Taal’s eruption within a one-month granting period.
Person with Disabilities and senior citizens pensioners in those two provinces could avail of the emergency loans. The calamity aid is available in the areas declared by the government under the state of calamity.
GSIS sets the granting period within January 18 – February 17, 2020 in Batangas and January 21 – February 20, 2020, in Cavite. The agency also opened the emergency loans to the Typhoon Tisoy affected residents.
The state-run Social Security System (SSS) also released Circular No. 2020-002 that allows the release of calamity assistance to its members and pensioners affected the Taal’s activity.
Members and pensioners who suffered loss and damage could get there three-month advance pension among both employees’ compensation and social security pensioners. They could apply for the calamity loan from January 22 – April 21, 2020.
