Class Suspension Declared In These Areas on Tuesday (January 21)

CLASS SUSPENSION – Several local government units have declared the suspension of classes in some areas due to Taal Volcano’s activity.

Taal Volcano erupted more than a week ago and affects thousands of residents in Batangas, Cavite, and Tagaytay. The volcano belches ash plumes, small stones, and other pyroclastic materials that cause damage to numerous establishments and properties.

The state volcanology agency Phivolcs also reported that Taal Volcano continues to show signs of unrest and indicate that it could generate eruption anytime soon. The affected residents are currently residing at the evacuation centers.
