Globe Telecom User’s Reward Points Can Be Used as Donations to Taal Victims

Globe Telecom today called for its customers to join efforts to provide relief to victims of the Taal Volcano eruption by donating their user’s rewards points.

Filipinos unite as one in times of disaster such as the eruption of the Taal Volcano. Whether the Filipino people are in the office or in positions of authority, they are taking steps to provide assistance to our people in need.

And now, even technology can be a way to provide for the needy. The Globe Telecommunication has launched their project which will make donations to the evacuees in Batangas using the rewards points of their subscribers.

According to the report of Good News Pilipinas, Globe Telecom today called for its customers to join efforts to provide relief to victims of the Taal Volcano eruption by donating their Globe Rewards points to “Rise Against Hunger” (RAH) for the purchase of meal packs for the evacuees.

Globe encouraged its customers to “make their Globe Rewards points more meaningful” by donating them to Rise Against Hunger via the Globe Rewards app until February 15, 2020. One hundred (100) points can be donated to the equivalent of 100 pesos donated for their relief operations for Taal evacuees.

With the initial rewards they have received, Globe has already sent other private institutions of assistance to thousands of families in various towns in Batangas. They are now distributing the food, water, and toiletries needed by evacuation centers today.

In addition to donations from the said mobile network, the Globe also provides free WiFi connections, calls and charging stations in affected areas in Cavite and Batangas. They also extending its free and unlimited GoWiFi internet service in Ayala Malls Serin, Solenad 1,2,3, Robinson’s Tagaytay, and Robinson’s Lipa.
