Class Suspension Declared In These Areas on January 17, 23, and 25, 2020

WALANG PASOK – Several local government units have declared class suspension in different areas on January 17, 23, and 25, 2020.

Nowadays, most Filipino students and employees love long weekends and vacations, so they can spend more time with their friends, family, and loved ones. Many people also spend their leisure time to take rest or to visit their favorite places.

Good news for everyone, there will be three special non-working days in selected areas this month of January. Both students and government employees in the covered areas will surely enjoy the holidays.

Class Suspension

The Malacañang Palace has declared special non-working holidays in three towns in Luzon and in the Visayas this January. The holiday announcement has been made to give employees the opportunity to participate in local events.

Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea has already signed the three proclamations with the approval of President Rodrigo Duterte.

Here is the list of special holidays and proclamations:

  • January 17 (Friday) – Proclamation No. 884 declares a special non-working holiday in Kalibo, Aklan to celebrate the Ati-Atihan Festival.
  • January 23 (Thursday) – Proclamation No. 882 declares a special non-working holiday in Malasiqui, Pangasinan in observance of the municipality’s 349th founding anniversary.
  • January 25 (Saturday) – Proclamation No. 883 declares a special non-working day in Carigara, Leyte to celebrate its 449th founding anniversary.
