Still Unidentified Suspects Shot Zamboanga del Norte Town Vice Mayor, 2 Others
ZAMBOANGA DEL NORTE – The vice mayor of Baliguian town and two (2) oothers were shot by still unidentified suspects.
Undeniably, the politicians take a huge pie in the circle of unexpected attacks since the last few years. Several people lost their lives and their families were left in grief. They are crying for justice.
With regards to the root of the attacks, a thorough investigation was conducted by the authorities on each case. Some were seen as work-related while others lie more on the angle of personal issues.
The suspects in some cases were already identified while in others, the investigation continues. Sadly, these incidents seem to continue.
Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, a Zamboang del Norte town vice mayor was recently shot by still unidentified suspects. Aside from Baliguian Vice Mayor Gani Esmali, two (2) others fell victims to the incident.
Esmali was riding his SUV along Barangay Santa Maria in the town of Siocon when the incident happened based on the report. The suspects were aboard two (2) pickups.
The police escort and a companion of Vice Mayor Esmali died on the spot. The politician was rushed to the hospital but he was declared dead on arrival.
Currently, the investigation is still ongoing. The suspects managed to escape using two pickups – gray and black vehicles. They flew towards Baliguian. More updates may be posted soon.
