Quiapo Vendor Reports “Drunk” Law Enforcer To Mayor Isko Moreno
ISKO MORENO – A female Quiapo vendor reported the alleged drunk law enforcer to Mayor Isko Moreno.
Earlier this week, Manila Mayor Isko Moreno banned all types of obstruction like parked vehicles and vendors in the city to make way for the procession of the Black Nazarene. He also declared the suspension of classes and government works throughout the city due to the annual event.
Days before the procession, he went to Plaza Miranda to check if there are vendors. He found out that the vendor made makeshift stalls along the road with several parked vehicles.
One of the vendors begged him not to confiscate their goods because she had to buy medicines. In a previous article, the actor-turned-politician bashed by the netizens after he declined the woman’s plea.
Another video of the Manila Mayor went viral on social media after he tried to fix the issue of a vendor and one of his law enforcers. The female vendor claimed that the enforcer who removed her stall was drunk. The woman expressed her anger towards the enforcer who allegedly destroyed her items.
One of Yorme’s men later confirmed that the law enforcer is not under the influence of alcohol. The mayor then told the woman that the law enforcer just did the right thing since he already warned them that are not allowed to put stalls on January 8 to 9.
