Aga starred in the Pinoy remake of the Korean movie Miracle in Cell No. 7. Many people expected that he will win the Best Actor trophy during the awards night or “Gabi ng Parangal”. However, many got disappointed that the result did not turn out as what they were expecting.

Allen Dizon was hailed as the Best Actor while Judy Ann Santos was the Best Actress for the movie Mindanao. For several days after the awards night, Aga remained silent even if his friend columnist Dolly Ann Carvajal sent him a message about this.

However, he has finally spoken on not winning the trophy during his recent guesting on Tonight with Boy Abunda. Aga Muhlach said that when he was younger, he would expect that he will get the Best Actor trophy. On the other hand, the actor shared that as he gets older, he has learned not to expect anything.

So I’ve learned not to expect and pati na ang mga tropeyo I’ve learned not to take that seriously, really. Ang tropeyo para sa akin ay kapag pinanood nila ‘yung pelikula ko,” he said during the interview. With this, host Boy Abunda revealed that Aga already has 13 Best Actor trophies. “13 ba? 13? (laugh),” the actor replied unsure of the exact number of his trophies.
