The bureau elaborated that the typhoon, internationally called Phanfone, will bring light to moderate with intermittent heavy rains over Lubang Island, as well as the northern portion of Palawan, which includes Calamian Islands until Thursday night.

According to a post from Inquirer, a 5 PM update from the bureau states that Zambales, Bataan, and the rest of Palawan will face cloudy skies with scattered rains.

The bureau further warned the residents of the aforementioned areas to take precautionary measures against flash floods and landslides.

Ursula was last spotted at about 300 kilometers northwest of Coron town, Palawan or 295 kilometers west southwest of Subic, Zambales/

The typhoon is packed with maximum sustained winds of about 120 kilometers per hour and gustiness of about 150 kilometers per hour.

Based on the report, tropical cyclone wind signals (TCWS) are now lifted for the northwestern part of Occidental Mindoro, including Lubang Island and Calamian Islands.

Sea travels still remain risky, especially for smaller sea vessels over the north and western seaboards of Northern Luzon due to rough seas.
