ROAD CLEARING OPERATION – Here is the viral video of the road clearing operation in Cogon Public Market that turned into a street brawl.

Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) will continue the national road clearing operation with regards to President Rodrigo Roa Duterte’s order.

The goal of Duterte’s administration is to remove all the illegal structures on the roads. All the Local Government Units (LGU) in the country are ordered to comply.

Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso has accomplished the road clearing operation in his city. He promised that he will continue it even after the sixty-day deadline for the LGU.

Sadly, there are still some towns or cities that do not comply with road clearing. Based on a report from SunStar, the clearing operation in Cogon Public Market on December 18, turned into a street brawl.

The vendors refused to follow the orders so they attacked the members of the Roads and Traffic Administration (RTA). The brawl fight in the market leaves a female enforcer wounded.

According to the report, the team was supposed to remove the vendors who are blocking the streets in preparation for the holiday rush. The authorities are still identifying the illegal vendors who attacked the female enforcer named Nelie Mae Ramirez.

Members of the RTA seized the fruits, vegetables and other items sold by the vendors. The city administrator, Teddy Sabuga-a, said they will press charges against the 5 vendors and warned the others if they disobey again, they will face charges.
