The Wish Music Awards is now on its 5th edition and here are the list of nominees under different categories.

Wish 107.5 is an FM radio station that who pioneered the mobile radio booth. It is called the Wish Bus where artists have their Wishclusive performances. Through that performances, the nominees are drawn out for the annual music awards.

Based on the article from the official site of the radio station, the eligibility period is from November 1, 2018 to October 31, 2019 for the 5th edition of WMA.

Text votes (30%) and votes from a select panel of judges (70%) will determine the winners. For the text votes, the allotted period of time will be from December 16 until January 16, 2020, at 12 noon.

One unique thing about the Wish Music Awards is its charitable endeavor. For five years now, Wish 107.5 is not just giving recognition and prizes to the winners but to their respective beneficiaries as well.

Php 25,000 will be given to the major award winners, and another Php 100,000 to their respective beneficiaries. The artists can choose their beneficiary or organizations they want to support.

Aside from these awards, there will be given a special recognition to honor acts whose Wishclusive videos have garnered at least 10 million views during the eligibility period. They will be included in the Wishclusive Elite Circle.

In addition, a new award will be given to “heroes” of music industry in the Philippines and this will be named after Kuya Daniel Razon, the main man behind Wish 107.5. This recognition will be called KDR Icon of Musical Excellence Award.

Based on the article, the awards night will be held on January 19, 2020 at the Mall of Asia Arena.
