Last 2014, a very sad new has hit the world and that is the passenger ferry MV Sewol which capsized en-route to Jeju Island from Icheon that took lives of 304 passengers out of 476 and majority of it were students who got drowned waiting for a rescue. The students were from Danwon High School and were on a school field trip.

As the ship started to sink, they were advised to wear their life jackets and wait for the rescue. There was even a video of students inside the ferry spotted sitting calmly as they wait for help while some even managed to eat. Some were even chatting.
The ship of the captain advised them to stay put inside the sinking ship for the waters are too cold and the currents were accordingly too strong. And most of the students got trapped inside while the captain remained alive and was able to escape the sinking. It was accordingly a lapse in judgment but the captain, due to what happened which cost numerous lives, faced lifetime imprisonment.

Some students who did not make it were able to send their messages to each other and to their parents. Some called to tell their loved ones that the ship hit something and they were wearing vest. And in a group chat, the students sworn to each other to meet when they get out of it alive. It actually took 2 hours before the ship totally sunk under the ocean. After 3 years. the ship was recovered from the bottom of the sea at a cost of over RM333 million.

The students who have been killed in the sinking incident would have graduated this year and will embark another chapter of their lives as adults. Thus, a ceremony was held for them as per World Of Buzz.
