NDRRMC – Davao Quake Destroyed 13 Government Buildings

NDRRMC – Risk reduction bureau NDRRMC recently disclosed that the recent tremors left at about 13 government buildings damaged.

Parts of Mindanao have been affected by recent tremors, with the recent one being Davao Del Sur. The mayor of Padada town, Davao Del Sur recently declared a state of calamity.

According to Inquirer’s Cebu Daily News, National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council recently disclosed that in their early count, about 13 government structures were damaged by the tremors.

“In our early count po ngayong umaga, inulat po sa atin na 13 government structures po ang napinsala dahil dito sa lindol na ito,”

(In our early count this morning, we have been told that 13 government structures were damaged by the quake.)

The damages the structures received from the previous series of quakes, namely in October and November, further worsened.

“Yung mga dati pong nayanig nitong October, November earthquake natin, sila pa rin po yung dinalaw nitong earthquake na to. So some structure po that have been previously damaged, mukhang natuluyuan na,”

(The buildings previously hit by quakes in October, November were also the ones hit by this recent earthquake. Some structures that have been previously damaged worsened.)

As per the report, among the 13 structures that was ruined by the recent series of quakes was Magsaysay Municipal Hall in Davao del Sur.
