Michelle Dee Unveils Evening Gown For Pageant Miss World 2019
MISS WORLD 2019 – Pinay beauty queen Michelle Dee finally unveiled her evening gown for the much-awaited Miss World 2019 pageant.
The gorgeous daughter of Miss International 1979 Melanie Marquez, Michelle Dee, will be representing the Philippines for Miss World 2019 pageant. The 69th edition of the pageant will be held on December 14 in London, United Kingdom.
In a previous article, the 23-year-old beauty queen took to social media to announce that she has secured the Top 40 spot. She said her autism awareness advocacy help her to enter the spot.
Recently, Michelle Dee shared a photo with the reigning Miss World Vanessa Ponce de Leon. She interviewed the Mexican beauty queen for GMA-7 morning show ‘Unang Hirit.’
On Wednesday, Philippines’ bet finally unveiled her evening gown for the prestigious pageant. She will be wearing a classic blue gown adorned with fine stones and crystals.
Based on a report from PEP, Michelle Dee’s evening gown is made by the renowned designer Francis Libiran, who also created her sun goddess-inspired costume.
During her send-off party, she assured the pageant fans and the media that her gown is stunning and took inspiration from the Philippine Seas.
“We played on the concept of it being the Pearl of the Orient Seas. So it is going to be in the shade of… Secret na lang kung anong shade of blue, pero it’s very lovely, the details are exquisite…”
“When I tried walking in it, it was very fluid, very elegant. I’m pretty sure it will turn a lot of heads when I reach the international stage,” she added.
According to the report, designer Francis Libiran gave some details of Michelle Dee’s gorgeous evening gown. “We had a meeting, like, months ago and I was telling her, ‘What do you really want for Miss World? And I see how she walked, which is very good with flowy materials, very lightweight. [We chose] nothing girly in terms of colors because it’s her personality,” he said.
“So we really try to tailor-fit it to who she was, you know. And doon ko nakuha iyong inspiration na we should [play around] with water, the Philippine sea,” he added.
Dee is among the 111 candidates from all over the world who aspires to bring home the Miss World 2019 crown.
