In a previous article, we can recall that there were two possible candidates for Pacquiao’s next boxing match. These were Mikey & Danny Garcia.

Both Mikey and Danny are former world champions as well. Danny carries an impressive 35-2 record, which includes 21 KOs.

Mikey, on the other hand, has a 39-1 record with 30 KOs. Along with this, Mikey is also a four-division champion, while Danny held super lightweight and welterweight belts.

However, Mikey had stated that negotiations for the fight are in play. He added that if things go well, they might end up fighting each other sometime in middle of 2020.

But, he emphasized that nothing is confirmed yet due to the multiple obligations the fighting Senator has. “He’s still busy with that, but the last thing I heard, he’s interested in fighting in the early part of the summer“, said Mikey Garcia.

According to an article from ABS-CBN, there have been reports that Pacquiao wanted to fight in the Middle East. However, Garcia said that he prefers the venue to be in Las Vegas where most boxing fans are.

Let’s be honest, we have most of our fans here. Not everyone is going to be able to make the trip out to Saudi Arabia or some exotic location – but I’m open to fighting anywhere else as well
