Shamcey Supsup To Lead Miss Universe Philippines
SHAMCEY SUPSUP – Filipino pageant director and former Miss Universe runner up Shamcey Supsup is set to lead the new Miss Universe Philippines organization.
Yesterday, Miss Universe Philippines (MUP) announced on social media that Shamcey would become their national director. Along with this, she is joined by big names in the local pageant scene.
These include people like:
- Albert Andrada
- Design council head
- Jonas Gaffurd
- Creative director
- Lia Ramos
- Head of women empowerment committee and charity
- Mario Garcia
- Business development/marketing head
- Atty. Nad Bronce
- Head of legal affairs
Their announcement on Facebook read:
The Miss Universe Organization expresses its heartfelt gratitude to the Araneta Group and Binibining Pilipinas Charities, Inc. for their more than 50 years of stewardship of the Miss Universe brand and franchise in the Philippines.
They added that the new organization would still be rooted in the same strong foundations that have earned the country title after title. Along with this, the organization said it’s ready to take the Miss Universe franchise to greater heights.
More importantly, it is the continued support of the pageant fans and community that inspires the Miss Universe Organization to take this crucial step forward. With the Filipina at the center of it all, a bright and beautiful future lies ahead.
The announcement was made in a couple of hours after the Philippine’s contender for Miss Universe, Gazini Ganados finished in the top 20 of the pageant. In addition, she also won best in national costume.
Although Ganados didn’t make it through the top 10, the Philippines still expressed their love and support for their candidate.
