Catriona once again stunned pageant fans even before she officially signed off as the reigning Miss Universe. During her farewell walk, she was wearing the “Reflection” gown created by Mak Tumang who also did her gowns in the Miss Universe 2018 competition in Thailand.

The Filipina beauty queen walked so effortlessly as she showcased the turquoise gown that symbolized the Philippine eagle embracing the ocean. Aside from her gown, pageant fans were also mesmerized by her farewell speech.

She emotionally thanked all the people as she realized her dream of sharing to the global platform her advocacy and causes that she supports. Before her speech ended, Catriona addressed her fellow Filipinos. “And to my beloved Philippines, isang karangalan po ito. You endlessly inspire me and give me hope. Maraming salamat sa inyong lahat. Above all, thank you God. I lift everything to glorify and honor you. As I close this chapter, I do so with a grateful heart,” she said.

However, many netizens posted on Twitter that they heard “kalarangan” instead of “karangalan”. Despite this unintentional mispronunciation, netizens did not bash Catriona Gray. Instead, pageant fans found that cute.
