Award-winning film director Brillante Mendoza revealed the real “relationship” he has with Ang Probinsyano actor Coco Martin.
Direk Brillante and Coco did the daring indie film Masahista in 2005. However, after doing the film, Coco thought of working in Vancouver, Canada because for him he has no place in the showbiz industry.
He thought that he was just a “bold actor”. “Ginawa niya ‘yun dahil sa maraming disappointments niya sa buhay. Bold actor lang daw siya, maraming issues, kaya nagtrabaho siya sa Canada,” the director shared during his recent guesting on Cristy Ferminute.
Direk Brillante Mendoza was there to promote his movie Mindanao that it included in the official entries of Manila Film Festival 2019. The movie features Judy Ann Santos. With all honesty, the filmmaker said, “We’re more than friends. We’re more than brothers. It’s beyond that. Hanggang ngayon, nagkakausap kami, walang nagbago sa aming pagkakaibigan.”
