This is the reason why Meryll Soriano apologized to John Lloyd Cruz
Actress Meryll Soriano apologized to A-list actor John Lloyd Cruz in a recent interview because of this particular reason.
Meryll is the daughter of Wowowin host Willie Revillame and former partner Bec-Bec Soriano. Though it is a fact that her father is considered as one of the wealthiest celebrities in the Philippines, the actress is still practicing the value of working hard as what she was taught.
Aside from acting, Meryll also has her own business but that did not hinder Willie to still support her and her son financially. One of the recent projects of the actress is the movie Culion which is included in Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) 2019.
In the movie, John Lloyd Cruz played a cameo role and when the teaser was released everyone got excited. Showbiz fans talked about it as many expected his showbiz comeback. However, the A-list actor clarified his participation in the movie and stressed out that it was not the signal of his showbiz comeback.
In line with this, Meryll Soriano apologized to John Lloyd Cruz for the social media commotion that happened when fans saw the trailer, based on the report from Bandera. “We have to respect how he feels. Hindi natin alam kung ano usapan nila but we have to respect how he feels kung yun ang nararamdaman niya and siguro on behalf of the whole production and the whole film I would like to apologize kung nasaktan siya doon sa nangyari and hindi yung intentional,” the actress said.
She added that it just that everyone got excited to see the actor onscreen once again. Meryll also admitted that she was excited to work with him. “It was a request. He granted it. I mean everybody was excited to work with him,” she added when asked if she felt guilty of what Lloydie felt.
On the other hand, the actress said that she and Lloydie are talking but they are not discussing this issue. She shared that they are talking about some possible projects that they can do together in the future, based on the article.
Meryll Soriano also shared things about the role of the actor in the MMFF 2019 entry. “From the very beginning, napaka-paramount kasi nu’ng role ni John Lloyd sa character ko. It’s just one scene. Sobrang ikli lang. But sobra siyang essential du’n sa character ko na si Ditas. Maiintindihan ng lahat kung bakit ganu’n yung chatacter niya. He’s somebody from the past ni Ditas na iniwanan niya,” she said.
