Pasig City Gives 400,000 Gift Bags as Start of #PamaskongHandog Program
PASIG, MANILA – #Pamaskonghandog program distribution dry run has begun in Pasig City, they have started distributing their Christmas gift packs to the residents of Pasig.
Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto proudly shared that the local government is now ready to start distributing the Christmas gift packs for its residents. With the change of governance, Sotto said the allocation of the Christmas gift packs are “politics-free” this year and even non-supporters can get their own fair share.
Sotto said that under the previous administration of former Mayor Robert Eusebio, only 180,000 Christmas gift packs were distributed, and mostly were also given to organizations and supporters of Eusebio. Now, in his administration 400,000 packs will be distributed in every house in Pasig City, no politics involved and even non-supporters can get their share.
This Christmas, Pasig residents can expect change as the Christmas gift packs will even be delivered to their own homes, no need to line up. Each Christmas gift pack costs around P600 and includes the usual ingredients needed for a humble “Noche Buena.”
It is placed in a canvas bag with the print, “Lungsod ng Pasig, Umaagos ang Pag-asa.” Aside from handing out gift bags to the residents, it will also be a survey to collect accurate data on their population that will be used to help the government with their programs.
