Pasig City Mayor-elect Vico Sotto reacted to the tarp with his face posted in a public space and netizens lauded his reaction.
The millennial mayor, as what he is tagged to him for being one of the youngest elected officials during the 2019 midterm election, continues to amaze the Filipinos.
He was able to surpass the hardship in beating a political clan that has been reigning in Pasig for 27 years.
Aside from his looks and intelligence, people are also amazed by his principles, especially his thoughts in creating a better Pasig.
One of his views that recently amazed the social media was about the presence of tarps with his face posted in public places.
As the son of Vic Sotto and Coney Reyes celebrated his birthday last June 17, a tarp with greetings was posted in the city.
On June 19, the 30-year-old politician asked his constituents to take off the tarp because his birthday already passed.
“Maraming salamat po sa lahat ng bumati sa aking ika-30 na kaarawan! Pero tapos na ang birthday ko. tanggalin niyo na yung mga tarp na ‘to please! Nagugulat ako sa mukha ko eh,” Vico said.
He shared that the person who posted the tarp had his permission. The young mayor also said that he just let the person post it because he knows the excitement of his constituents regarding his victory.
However, he told the Pasiguenos to avoid posting tarps with his face, especially in public spaces after this.
Because of this, Vico Sotto received praises from netizens.
