FARMER PAINTS HIS DOG – Apparently, scarecrows don’t work that well with monkeys. So what’s the next best solution?Apparently, painting your dog like a tiger will.

At least, that was the thought process of one farmer from Shivamogga in Karnataka, India. In a desperate attempt to save his crops from monkeys causing havoc on farms in their area.

According to an article from Unilad, the farmer was known to be as Srikanta Gowda. The man said that he got inspired after he saw another farmer use a tiger-like doll as a scarecrow nearly four years ago.

Afterward, Gowda decided to get a doll himself to place on his farm. And to his surprise, the doll worked wonders and scared away the monkeys out of his plantation.

He tried another tiger doll in a different area in his plantation and was over the moon because of how effective it was. However, he knew that he couldn’t rely on the scarecrow forever.

This is when the farmer’s creative juices started flowing. He ultimately decided to paint his dog to look like a tiger.

As per the report, he said that the paint was hair dye and it lasted for more than a month. Adding to this, it proved to be an effective and more productive than moving a fake tiger doll around.

Another farmer from Kakksari Village used a different type of innovation to protect his crops. He recorded audio of a dog’s bark and blasted it on speakers to scare the monkeys away.
