Once the Typhoon enters the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) it would be given the name Tisoy.

With this, Camarines Sur Governor Miguel Luis Villafuerte released a memorandum told local disaster risk reduction management councils (LDRRMSc) to evacuate those in low-lying areas, areas near mountain slopes.

Residents in areas that are prone to storm surges and flooding are also forced to evacuate. In addition, those whose homes are made of light materials are also forced to do so.

According to an article from Inquirer, the evacuation should not be on or before Sunday. However, in Sagañay, the town’s DRRM officer said that they will do the forced evacuations on Monday.

Don Panoy, the town’s DRRM officer said that it is due to the clearing of the Feast of St. Andrew on Saturday. He added that it would last until Sunday.

He told reporters that today, they would be having a mass information dissemination while having the boodle fight in celebration of the town fiesta. Panoy added that the fiesta is also to advocate the empowerment of women.

He cited that last year, there were many families who died from Tropical Depression Usman due to women not having a voice in decision makings when it came to evacuations.

In their area, there were at least 36 Sagñay residents that died due to the low-pressure area that hit Bicol back in December 30, 2018.
