Samantha Lo gives up her Miss Grand Philippines 2019 title
Filipina beauty queen Samantha Lo is officially signing off as the reigning Miss Grand Philippines 2019.
It can be recalled that Samantha went controversial when she came back to the country days before the international pageant in Venezuela. Later on, it was found out that she was deported from Paris, France because of her fake passport, as what the Binibining Pilipinas Charities Inc. revealed.
Samantha accused the pageant organization of not helping and supporting her during that time. Despite what happened, she was able to compete but unfortunately, she went home without the Grand International crown.
Rumors came out that Samantha Lo was dethroned by the BPCI because of what happened. Her fellow Binibinis were asked about this as she was absent during a fashion show in Cavite. They answered that the pageant organization is the only authority who can directly state something about this.
A few days after that, Samantha posted on her Instagram account about signing off.
“She took off her crown
And thanked it for everything Left…so she could live
“Miss Grand Philippines 2019 officially signing off.
“Maraming Salamat Pilipinas
“Now I’m off to my new path [heart emoji].”
However, as of writing, it is not yet clear if the Filipina beauty queen voluntarily gave up her crown and title or the BCPI took it back from her. The pageant organization is yet to release a statement regarding this.
