Patricia Javier was chosen as Noble Queen of the Universe 2019 Darling of the Press
Actress-turned-beauty-queen Patricia Javier was chosen as the Darling of the Press in the first-ever Noble Queen of the Universe 2019 competition.
Patricia won the Mrs. Universe Philippines 2019 title in the pageant that was held last year. However, before she got married and became an actress, she already competed in the Binibining Pilipinas back in 1998. Apparently, joining a pageant is not new to her anymore.
Last October, there were speculations that surfaced stating that she was stripped of her title. This came from the fact that she will no longer represent the Philippines in Mrs. Universe 2019 pageant in Guangzhou, China on December 22, 2019, to January 1, 2020.
However, Patricia clarified this issue. She said that she chose to represent the country in the Noble Queen of the Universe 2019 competition because of the conflict in her schedule. The said pageant will be held at the Manila Hotel on December 1, 2019.
The press presentation of the said first-ever pageant was held at the Rotary Center Building, Roces Avenue, Quezon City, on November 26. During that event, the members of the press/media entities chose among the 20 candidates who will be hailed as the Darling of the Press.
Luckily, Patricia Javier was chosen along with Miss Russia Anna Rabtsun. Aside from the actress, Maffi Papin, former That’s Entertainment member and daughter of Imelda Papin, will be representing the Philippines.
According to Patricia, she does not see the pageant as a competition but as sisterhood and unity. She also shared that unlike other pageants, they are not required to maintain a certain body measurement. It is because the candidates will be judged according to their performance as how they are doing their advocacy, based on the article from PEP.
“Sanay kasi ang mga tao na kapag beauty pageant, kailangan seksi ka at palaging maganda. Dito sa Noble Queen of the Universe, advocacy based kaya I can eat everything. Kanina, kumakain pa ako ng crispy pata,” the actress-beauty queen shared.
