PAGASA – Severe Tropical Storm Kammuri Intensified Into A Typhoon
PAGASA – State weather bureau PAGASA recently said that severe tropical storm Kammuri has recently intensified into a typhoon.

The bureau further added that the now typhoon is drawing closer to the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR).
According to Inquirer, the weather bureau said in their 11 AM update that typhoon Kammuri slowed down as it moves west northwest. It was last seen at about 1,430 kilometers east of Visayas.
The typhoon was packed with maximum sustained winds of about 120 kilometers per hour and gusts of up to 150 kilometers per hour. It was moving at a speed of about 10 kilometers per hour.
Based on the report, it is expected to enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility on or after the opening of the 30th Southeast Asian Games.
It will be the 20th storm this year and will be given the name “Tisoy” once it enters PAR.
Once it happens, Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal (TCWS) No. 1 might be raised over the east part of Bicol and Visayas.
