PAGASA – Tropical Storm East Of Philippines To Enter PAR On Weekend

PAGASA – Weather bureau PAGASA recently said that a weather disturbance east of the Philippines is expected to enter PAR this weekend.

The bureau elaborated that the disturbance has intensified into a tropical storm and was given the international name “Kammuri”.

According to the Manila Bulletin, senior weather forecaster Chris Perez said that Kammuri is still too far to affect the Philippines.

The tropical storm was last seen at about 2.5 kilometers east of Visayas. It is packed with maximum sustained winds of about 65 kilometers per hour and gusts of up to 80 kilometers per hour. It is currently moving westward at about 35 kilometers per hour.

Based on the report, Kammuri will enter PAR on either Saturday or Sunday and will be given the local name “Tisoy” as the 20th cyclone for the year 2019 should it maintain its speed and track.

Kammuri will possibly make landfall over Southern Luzon or approach closely yoward North Luzon. It misght possibly recurce away from the country.

As for the temperature, Metro Manila will face a maximum 31 degrees Celsius, 29 degrees Celsius in Cebu, 31 degrees Celsius in Davao, 26 degrees Celsius in Tagaytay, and 22 degrees Celsius in Baguio.
