Magnitude 3.7 Earthquake Hits Davao Oriental on Saturday (November 23)

EARTHQUAKE ALERT – The state seismology agency reported that a magnitude 3.7 earthquake has struck the province of Davao Oriental.

Magnitude 3.7 Earthquake

On Saturday (November 23, 2019), the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology announced that a magnitude 3.7 earthquake struck the town of Governor Generoso in Davao Oriental at 07:18 am.

Phivolcs located the quake’s epicenter at 06.00°N, 127.04°E – 107 km S 58° E of Governor Generoso. The slightly strong tremor is tectonic in origin and has a depth of focus of 046 kilometers.

The volcanology agency also said that there are no damage and aftershocks are expected following the incident.
