Work & Class Suspension Declared In These Areas on December 2 (Monday)
WALANG PASOK – A certain local government unit declared work and class Suspension in these areas on December 2, 2019.
In 2018, President Rodrigo Duterte approved the Republic Act 11140 and signed it into law. The law declares December 2 of every year as a special non-working holiday in the city of Pasay in observance of their Foundation Day.
Earlier this week, Pasay City government announced the cancellation of government work and classes for all levels in both public and private schools throughout the entire town on December 2 (Monday).
The city government of Pasay also explained that the work in government offices is also suspended except for health services and response to disasters.
The work and class suspensions have been made to give an opportunity to the residents of Pasay City to celebrate the town’s 156th foundation day.
Pasay City government also warned the companies or individuals soliciting advertisements for the celebration of the special event.
“We wish to inform business establishments and the general public that these solicitations are not sanctioned by the City government unless otherwise authorized by the Office of the Mayor through a written letter,” the statement said.
