Nyoy Volante Speaks Up About Marlo Mortel Elimination From TNT
NYOY VOLANTE – One of the most iconic names in Filipino Music gave his thoughts about being bashed and criticized as a judge on It’s Showtime’s “Tawag ng Tanghalan”.
His job as a judge comes with immense pressure. Not only does he need to keep in mind the contestants, but he also needs to weigh in the contestant’s fans.
With that, comes a lot of bashers that criticize his decisions. Moreover, he’s one of the judges in the most popular singing competition in the country.
So how does he handle all of this? According to an article by Pep, Volante said that he doesn’t get affected by the bashers. He added that it’s all part of the job.

This question was raised when he was guesting on Tonight With Boy Abunda. The 41-year old singer was bashed by netizens after Marlo Mortel was eliminated on TNT.
Afterward, Nyoy explained Marlo’s elimination. He explained that Marlo wasn’t really eliminated.

Following his elimination from TNT All-Stars Grand Resbak, the Singer posted on Instagram his thoughts on the incident. He said that he thought he was numb because he was used to losing, but, so many people were saying he deserved to win.
After pouring my heart & soul, results showed I got an average of 88.4 for this song, having me eliminated on the first day of Resbak.
I’ve always asked myself, “What’s wrong with me?” for I can’t even bag a small win after a decent performance.
