Jane De Leon Responds To Criticism of Her Acting Skills
JANE DE LEON – ‘Darna‘ actress Jane De Leon responded to all of the criticism regarding her acting skills during an interview.
Kapamilya actress Jane De Leon was hailed as the new ‘Darna’ after Angel Locsin and Liza Soberano withdrew from the role due to injuries. She was shocked and momentarily speechless after learning that she will be playing the role of the Filipina super-heroine.
A few days after that, Jane took to her Instagram to tell ‘Darna’ fans that she will do her best to prove she’s worthy of the role. “Pangako po na pagtatrabahuhan kop o ito at ibibigay ko ang lahat,” she wrote.
Recently, Jane De Leon shared some glimpse of her physical training for ‘Darna.’ She revealed that her training of choice was weightlifting. “At first, it was really hard talaga. Sobrang mahirap and lalo na maninibago ‘yung body mo, eh, so dapat i-adapt siya paunti-unti. But right now naman, nagiging okay na. Hinahanap na siya ng body ko,” Jane said.
Some ‘Darna’ fans claim that the 20-year-old actress doesn’t deserve to play the role because she can’t act. During her interview on ‘Tonight With Boy Abunda’ she gave her reactions to the bashers. She told them to just wait and see.
“Hindi ko in-expect itong proyektong ito. Nagpapasalamat ako sa mga nakakataas na may nakita silang potential at pinagkatiwalaan nila ako. Siyempre ayaw ko silang ma-disappoint,” she added.
Jane De Leon also addressed the rumors that she is “maldita.” She said that it may be the typical first impression of her. She explained that she was maybe tired or sleepy. “Lumalaban lang po ako ‘pag tama,” Jane said.
