According to mmceebi in Brainly, it is a Korean folklore which narrates the story of a woodcutter who meets a tiger in the woods.

Here is the summary of the story:

A woodcutter one day encountered a tiger in the woods. Fearing that the tiger will eat him, he pretended that the tiger is its long lost brother and that their mother passed away, further pretending to wipe his eyes. The tiger turned and walked away, rendering the woodcutter harmless.

This led to a mysterious turn of events since every year on Chesa, the day of the death of the woodcutter’s mother, offerings appear before him. The woodcutter wonders where the offerings came from.

One year after, however, he did not see any offering on his mother’s grave. Then, three tigers appeared and carried offerings. They said that the man must be their uncle since their mother died and brings offerings in honor of their grandmother. The woodcutter shed streams of his own tears.
