Jane De Leon Gives Sneak Peek Of Training For ‘Darna’
JANE DE LEON – Actress Jane De Leon shared a glimpse of her physical training for the much-anticipated movie ‘Darna.’
In July, ABS-CBN films announced actress Jane De Leon is the new Darna. She took over Angel Locsin and Liza Soberano, who both withdraw from the role because of injuries.
The producers were looking for stars who “possessed the right balance of youth, innocence, and strength to pull off the role.” The 20-year-old actress was featured in Kapamilya programs such as La Luna Sangre, Halik, and Wansapanataym.
In a previous article, Jane De Leon took to her Instagram to express her gratitude to all the people who believed in her. She also vowed that she will give her best to prove she’s worthy of the role.
“MARAMING MARAMING SALAMAT PO SA TIWALA! Pangako po na pagtatrabahuhan kop o ito at ibibigay ko ang lahat,” Jane wrote.
On Saturday, November 16, Jane de Leon gave her fans a sneak peek of her physical training for the much-anticipated movie. She uploaded a video of herself at the gym with her coach Culver Padilla.
Based on a report from PUSH, Jane disclosed that her training of choice for the role is weightlifting. “At first, it was really hard talaga. Sobrang mahirap and lalo na maninibago ‘yung body mo, eh, so dapat i-adapt siya paunti-unti. But right now naman, nagiging okay na. Hinahanap na siya ng body ko,” she said.
The Kapamilya actress stated that they have not begun the shooting for the film because they are still focusing on her training. Watch the video below:
