PAGASA – Tropical Ramon Further Intensifies, Draws Near Luzon

PAGASA – Weather bureau PAGASA says that tropical storm Ramon slightly enhanced as it draws near Luzon on Friday (November 15).

The bureau said in its 5 AM bulletin that the weather disturbance was last spotted at about 445 kilometers east north east of the town of Casiguran, Aurora.

According to Inquirer, Ramon was packed with maximum sustained winds of about 75 kilometers per hour and gusts of up to 90 kilometers per hour. It is currently moving north at about 15 kilometers per hour.

The weather disturbance is more likely to make landfall in north Luzon on the weekend up to Monday morning.

Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal (TCWS) number 1 was raised over the following areas:

  • southeast part of Cagayan
    • Peñablanca
    • Baggao
  • eastern part of Isabela
    • Divilacan
    • Palanan
    • Dinapigue
    • Maconacon
  • north Aurora
    • Dilasag
    • Casiguran
    • Dinalungan
  • Polilio Island

Based on the report, eastern part of Cagayan and Isabela, Bicol region, Romblon, Panay Island and Cuyo Island will face light to moderate with intermittent heavy rains.
