Bong Revilla reacts to backlash over his upcoming comeback on television.
BONG REVILLA – The Senator Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr.’s supposed return to television sparks backlash and the actor turned politician has reacted to this.
The GMA network is now under hot waters for being an “enabler” of a “plunderer” as some netizens have aired their grievances over the rumors the the actor turned politician Bong Revilla will make a television come back through Alden Richards‘ program “The Gift”.
This is because Revilla was formerly accused of allocating P224 million from his “pork barrel,” or the Priority Development Assistance Fund (PDAF), to fake non-government organizations owned by Janet Lim Napoles. But in December 2018, he got acquitted.
With this, here is his reaction according to PEP:
“I am first and foremost a legislator. I know my mandate. Wala pong batas na nagbabawal sa pag aartista. Ito ay isang marangal na trabaho na bumuhay at bumubuhay sa pamilya ko. Haters are going to hate, and bashers are going to bash. The truth is out there and it is their choice to side with lies and falsehood. Sino ang may problema? Not me.”
Trending previously as #NoToBONGREVILLAonTheGift, here are the reactions and protests from the netizens:
Bong’s guest appearance may just be a rumor but it’s good to react now para di na matuloy yan.
Lol. Alden is a decent guy. GMA better not subject him to the certainly unpleasant experience of working with a plunderer.
I cannot and will never support this. Madaming shows. Heck he can even have his own show.
Saying #NoToBongRevillaOnTheGift is love for Alden, the show, and the values that he promotes, it is taking a stand.
