Still Unidentified Suspects Shot Pregnant Minor in Cagayan de Oro

PREGNANT MINOR – Two (2) men shot a young pregnant woman outside a hall of justice in Cagayan de Oro.

Sadly, everyday, a lot of unfortunate incidents depicting hate and revenge are happening in the different parts of the country. They occur in the form of attacks and some have really taken lives.

Several families were left grieving and children orphaned by these alarming incidents. Others have survived but such incidents have greatly affected them and their loved ones.

Recently, in Cagayan de Oro, a young woman fell victim to an unexpected attack. It took place outside a justice hall in the city.

Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, the victim is a pregnant minor who was crossing the pedestrian lane when she was shot by two (2) still unidentified persons. She was with two (2) women when the incident happened.

A CCTV footage taken by a gasoline station in Mastersons Avenue in Barangay Carmen showed that the suspects were wearing helmets when they lodged their motive. They parked their motorcycle in front of the justice hall.

According to the report, the suspects waited for the women to cross the pedestrian lane and went near them to shot the pregnant minor. The 16-year-old victim is five (5) months pregnant. She was at the justice hall for the charges she filed against her former employer who is a police official in Misamis Oriental according to Cagayan de Oro City Police.

Currently, the victim is recovering in the hospital but she has yet to issue a statement regarding what happened. According to City Councilor Romeo Calizo, the former employer of the victim automatically becomes a person of interest.

“The police should look into the possibility that the perpetrator ay ang inireklamo. Pero it’s unfair also if he will not be given a day in court to clear his name. But automatically, he’ll be a person of interest,” he said.
