Authorities Arrest Couple For Using Fake Documents To Get Financial Help from Pagcor

COUPLE – The police authorities arrested a couple for using fake documents to obtain Pagcor’s financial assistance for medical emergencies.

In the Philippines, several government institutions and agencies are offering assistance to the public. Some are for housing and livelihood purposes while others are for medical emergencies.

With regards to medical matters, one of those that offer financial help is the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation. It is more commonly called as Pagcor.

However, recently, Pagcor has decided to temporarily stop receiving applications for the financial medical help it offers. It is after two (2) people used ill ways to obtain money from the government agency.

Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, a couple was arrested by the Manila Police District (MPD) General Assignment and Investigation Section officials for using fake documents. The move was in line with the pursuit to get money as financial help from Pagcor.

MPD Police Captain Arnold Echalar expressed that the suspects were really able to get the amount that is supposedly extended as medical assistance. They are currently facing charges for the falsification of documents and using fake certificates.

Today, November 14, Pagcor announced the temporary stopping of the receiving of application for medical assistance. We’ll keep you posted for further updates.
