Class Suspension Declared In These Areas on Wednesday (November 13)

WALANG PASOK – Several local government units declared class suspension in various places due to the effects of Tropical Depression Ramon.

Over the past few days, Tropical Depression Ramon continues to affect the weather condition in different parts of the country. The weather disturbance has maximum sustained winds of 55 kilometers per hour and gustiness of up to 70 kph.

Ramon is lashing several parts of the Philippines with strong winds and occasionally heavy rains. It was last spotted at 505 kilometers east of Borongan City, Eastern Samar and it is expected to intensify into a tropical storm within the next 24 hours.

Class Suspension

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) also raised various tropical cyclone signal no. 1 over Eastern Samar and eastern portion of Northern Samar.

On Wednesday (November 13, 2019), several local government units have suspended the classes in several areas due to the inclement weather condition brought by Tropical Depression Ramon.

The cancellation of classes has been made to ensure the safety of the students from any possible danger brought by the inclement weather.

Here is the list of areas covered by the suspension of classes:

  • Northern Samar (All levels, public and private)
  • Virac, Catanduanes (Kindergarten and elementary, public and private)
