Unique Hostel In India Lets Guests Check-In To Die

UNIQUE HOSTEL – The unique hostel in India exists especially for the devotees who wish to die.

There are millions of possible ways a person could die. Humans are lucky enough to live over 80 years old.

Based on a report from Manila Bulletin, there is a hostel in India that lets people check in to die. The facility was located near the holy city of Varanasi, one of the most sacred places in their county and one of the most polluted rivers in the world. Devotees take a dip in the river banks of Ganga to perform last rites for their family or wash off their sins.

Some of the devotees check-in to the Salvation House or ‘Kashi Labh Mukti Bhawan’ in order to free themselves from the cycle of life and death. The hostel was organized by a charity or non-profit organization.

According to the report, the hostel was founded by an Indian philanthropist and industrialist, Jaidayal Dalma in 1958. They have hosted nearly 15,000 people.

Manager Anurag Hari Shukla, said almost all devotees who booked in their facility have ‘attained salvation.’ “Why do people come here? In search of salvation. This is all a matter of faith,” he said.

He said most of their guests are old and retired people. All of them wished to die in the oldest city of India. They offered services like ‘kirtan,’ a recitation of religious scriptures and the arrangement of their last rites.

Based on the report, they have some guests who didn’t die in the facility. In fact, the return to their homes healthier. Guests are only allowed to stay in the hostel for 15 days. It is certainly one of the unique hostels in the world.
