Following a previous article, Panday Sining paints over protests slogans at Lagusnilad underpass. They marked the wall with “Digmang Bayan Sagot sa Martial Law,” “Presyo Ibaba Sahod Itaas,” and “Atin ang Pinas US-China Layas.”

The 45-year-old politician slammed the youth group for vandalizing the underpass near the city hall. He warned if they caught them he will order them to wipe off the paint using their tongue.

“Kapag nahuli ko kayo, ipadidila ko sa inyo ito… Ang ganda ganda na eh. Ang linis na. It took 15 years for that underpass to be attended. Nobody attended to that underpass. Kayo ang nambababoy eh. Hindi makatwiran ‘yan. We don’t deserve this. The people of Manila don’t deserve this,” said Isko.

Based on a report from Inquirer, Panday Sining apologizes for writing street graffiti on the underpass while at the same time justifying that they just did that to tell people about the pressing issues in the county.

“To the public: sorry for the inconvenience, but the matter and issues at hand are urgent. Left and right, ordinary people are being killed or jailed for criticizing this corrupt and fascist government.”

“The space for peaceful and democratic speech is already being compromised by the regime as it pushes to criminalize dissent… Repression is rampant amid worsening poverty, joblessness, and hunger brought about by the Duterte regime’s adherence to foreign, big businesses, and landlord interests,” the group added.
