PAGASA – LPA Intensified Into A Tropical Depression (November 5)
PAGASA – Weather bureau PAGASA recently said that an LPA, which recently intensified into a tropical depression, will be affecting parts of Luzon.

The bureau added in its morning forecast that a frontal system will be affecting the extremely northern area of Luzon.
According to GMA News, it is also observing a currently active tropical cyclone just outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR).
The now tropical depression, which is west of Luzon, was spotted at about 610 kilometers west southwest of the town of Iba, Zambales.
The nearly stationery weather disturbance is currently packed with maximum sustained winds of 45 kilometers per hour and gusts of up to 55 kilometers per hour.
As per the report, on the other hand, Severe Tropical Storm Halong, was last spotted at about 2,180 kilometers east of the extreme northern Luzon.
It is currently packed with maximum sustained winds of 140 kilometers per hour near the center and gustiness of up to 170 kilometers per hour. It is currently moving in the northwest at about 15 kilometers per hour.
The following areas will face cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to Halong:
- Ilocos Region
- Cordillera Administrative Region
- Cagayan Valley
The following areas will face cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the tropical depression:
- Zambales
- Bataan
- Occidental Mindoro
- Palawan
- Cavite
- Batangas
On the other hand, Caraga and Davao region will face cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ).
The capital, as well as the rest of the country, will face partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rains due to localized thunderstorms. The bureau warned of possible floods and landslides that might occur during severe thunderstorms.
