Suspect Arrested After Smuggling Hotsilog With Shabu Inside Police Station
HOTSILOG – A female suspect was arrested for trying to smuggle in sachets of shabu inside the Fairview Police Station in Quezon City.
As the war on drugs of President Rodrigo Duterte is still at play, authorities have been more vigilant. However, there are some addicts who still crave for their fix.
This led to one suspect aiming for a more simpler approach in smuggling in drugs to the prison system.
The suspect was hiding the packets of shabu underneath the rice and the hotdog. The 27-year-old female was caught by a guard by accident.
As the guard checked the food, he made a mistake that caused the modus operandi of the suspect to be revealed. Unfortunately for the suspect, the guard opened the styrofoam box upside down.
When the police opened the styrofoam box, they found the sachets of shabu resting underneath the thick layer of rice, egg, and a hotdog. Definitely not the most creative way to hide your drugs.
Reports from ABS-CBN said that the female was adamant to visit an inmate inside the police station. This caused the police to be alerted.
The arrested suspect denied that the drug was hers. According to her, she was just ordered by a family member of her friend.
“Di akin ‘yan. Wala ako alam”, said the female suspect. It turns out that the friend of the suspect was already in prison for a week because of drugs.
The female suspect will be charged for violating Republic Act 9165. This is also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
