Filipinos Are The ‘Irish Of Asia’ Says Brian McFadden

BRIAN MCFADDEN – Westlife’s former member Brian McFadden dubbed the Filipinos as the ‘Irish of Asia.’

Irish singer-songwriter Brian McFadden is a former member of the Irish boy band Westlife. He decided to leave his group in 2004 to become a solo artist.

Westlife had a concert last July 10 in Manila. In a previous article, one of the members said they decided to reunite due to the huge demand of their Filipino fans. They are known for the 90s songs such as “I Lay My Love On You,” “My Love,” and “If I Let You Go.”

Now, their former member Brian McFadden is set to have a concert in Manila and Davao. It will be his first-ever solo concert in the country.

Based on a report from PUSH, the Irish singer expressed his excitement about his upcoming concert. “For 20 years, I have been coming to the Philippines as Westlife and Boyzlife, I even guested in Boyzone. And I’ve never actually done solo shows so this is very exciting. Finally, after 20 years I’ll be able to do a solo show in the Philippines,” he said.

According to the report, Idol Philippines Grand Winner Zephanie Dimaranan will also be performing in his show in Manila. It will be this coming November 17 at the New Frontier Theater.

McFadden was recently interviewed by Pinoy entertainment press through Skype. He shared his excitement for his solo concert in the Philippines.

“I’m very excited. It’s my favorite place in the world,” he said.

Based on the report, Brian McFadden dubbed the Filipinos as the Irish of Asia because they are “very Christian.”

“People there are so nice,” he added.
