McDonald’s Displays Insensitive & Offensive Halloween Decoration
MCDONALDS – A McDonald’s franchise is in hot water due to their insensitive and offensive Halloween decoration displayed below a cash register.
The fast-food restaurant McDonald’s is known all over the world. Millions of people are loved by their delicious burgers and fries.
The restaurant launch gimmicks on every event like Valentine’s Day, Christmas and Halloween. It’s their way to attract their customers. Most of their stunts eventually catch people’s attention.
A McDonald’s branch in Massachusetts is in hot water because of their Halloween decoration. Based on a report from People, the decoration was discovered by a customer.
The customer named Erik Pocock finds the Halloween decoration insensitive and offensive. It can be seen on the decoration that a person was hanging from a noose in a creepy tree.
“It looked like a typical Halloween decoration… It said ‘Happy Halloween.’ It had some spiderwebs and some spiders and, like, a haunted tree and I was like: ‘Oh that’s cute, then you look closer and that’s not cute. That’s not right…”
“More like a lynching, but you could have taken it either way,” he added.
According to the report, lots of people found the McDonald’s Halloween decoration as offensive. The owner and operator of McDonald’s outlet in North Andover, Chuck Leitz, issued an apology on behalf of the store.
“We deeply regret that these decorations were on display, and as soon as we identified the inappropriate content, we immediately removed the decorations display. Creating an environment that is welcoming and inclusive to all our guests and employees is critically important to us, and we apologize for any unintended offense they may have had on our community,” she said in the statement.
