DANIEL PADILLA – The Kapamilya actor Daniel Padilla has this response when asked about not being the “Box Office King” while his girlfriend is the queen.
The Kapamilya artists and real-life couple Daniel Padilla and Kathryn Bernardo were definitely on top of their game for being the most bankable actors of their generation. As a love team, almost all of their films were box office hits.
As such, their certified successful films are Must Be… Love (2013), She’s Dating the Gangster (2014), Crazy Beautiful You (2015), Barcelona: A Love Untold (2016), Can’t Help Falling in Love (2017), and The Hows of Us (2018), And this year, the KathNiel love team took a risk and went on separate projects.
In the highest grossing film of all time, Hello Love Goodbye, Kathryn was paired with Alden Richards. The first pair-up of this Kapuso and Kapamilya stars was unexpectedly a major success considering that they have come from big love teams such as KathNiel and AlDub.
Kathryn is now a box office queen while Daniel was not. And his response to this is if he’s not the king doesn’t matter at all because he has a lot more box office hits. And if his girlfriend is to be paired again with another actor, it would be alright for him especially if it’s a good story.
