James Reid Will Be Replaced By This Actor in Pedro Penduko Reboot
PEDRO PENDUKO – This actor will be playing the title role of Pedro Penduko after James Reid dropped out from the project due to his spinal injury.
Filipino actor Matt Evans starred on the fantasy tv series “Da Adventures of Pedro Penduko” in 2006 and ended on April 2007. He’s the first actor to play the role on television and the 4th to play the role.
In 2018, it was announced that James Reid was chosen to play the role for the remake of the film that Epik Studios and Viva Films would be doing. In a previous article, the actor singer withdraws from the role due to his spinal injury.
James Reid’s talent agency Viva said they “regretfully” accept his decision to back out from the film.“James has spinal injuries and the film Pedro Peduko involves intensive training and major stunts… his regular therapy and treatment prohibits him to train hard or perform for the rigid requirements.”
Viva Films recently found it’s new Pedro Penduko. Filipino-Italian actor Matteo Guidicelli is taking over the role of the Pinoy superhero.
Based on a report from MYX ABS-CBN, the actor gushed about the possibility of doing the project. “It will be a great project, of course… this is a superhero in the Philippines na talaga bigating superhero. I’ll be open to do a project like this,” he said.
Matteo Guidicelli confirmed the news with a daring photo of him on his Twitter page. It came with a caption, “Pedro Penduko #2020.”
