Binibining Pilipinas Declared As Second Runner-up In 2019 Miss Globe
BINIBINING PILIPINAS – Pageant veteran Leren Mae Bautista was declared as the second runner up for Miss Globe 2019.
The event was held on Ulnij, Montenegro. It is a town on the southern coast of Montenegro and the capital of the Ulcinj Municipality.
Mexico’s Alejandra Diaz de Leon Soler was crowned Miss World 2019. Following her was Carla Jean Lares of Trinidad and Tobacco as the first runner up.
With her international success, the Binibining Pilipinas Charities Inc. (BPCI) lauded her achievements:
“We are so proud of your impressive performance, and the way you embodied the true beauty and elegance of a Binibini. You are truly a Filipina worth emulating”
Joining Bautista in the top 5 were third runner-up Shauna Griffiths of Canada, and fourth runner-up froth the Czech Republic, Kristyna Malirova.
According to Inquirer, Bautista was one of the top finishers in the preliminary competitions. These were the swimsuit and talent portions of the event.
The Philippine representative was a dancer from high school through college. With her skill set, she performed a tribal dance for the talent competition.
Leren Mae Bautista also had an incredible journey in the pageant scene. She started off in her home town of Laguna.
She won the Miss Los Baños crown back in 2013. Afterward, she won the Binibining Laguna title in 2014.
Leading to that, she was declared as the Mutya ng Pilipinas-Asia Pacific International back in 2015. Next, she got her first taste of international success.
Bautista won the 2015 Miss Tourism Queen of the Year International pageant. The event was held in China.
