Newly Installed Lamppost in Jones Bridge Elicits Reactions From Netizens

JONES BRIDGE – The newly installed lampposts in Jones Bridge in Manila caught the attention of the netizens.

In a previous article, mayor Francisco Isko Moreno Domagoso encourage the business tycoons in the county to invest in manila. He even declared that the city will become the richest city in the National Capital Region (NCR) after 3 years.

The 44-year-old politician received P20 million from Chinese businessmen. Moreno said he will use the fundings for the rehabilitation of the Pasig River bridge.

Isko Moreno believed that the rehabilitation project for the bridges in Manila could add up to the city’s tourist destination. “Protecting heritage builds tourism, tourism builds jobs and businesses,” he said.

Recently, a Twitter user behind @Vincentafrica shared a photo of the newly installed lamppost in Jones Bridge and the original lamp design for Puente de España or the Bridge of Spain. He compared the two lamp designs.

The netizen penned his reaction to the caption of the post. He said the new lamps looked like the lamp from the Disneland.
