PAGASA – Cloudy Skies, Rains In Areas Of Philippines Due To ITCZ
PAGASA – Weather bureau PAGASA recently said that the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) will bring cloudy skies, rains in some areas.
The bureau further added in their morning forecast that the northeasterly surface windflow will affect Luzon on Tuesday (October 15).
According to GMA, the following areas will face scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ):
- Western Visayas
- Davao Region
- Caraga
The bureau warned the public against flash floods or landslides that might occur during extreme thunderstorms.
Based on the report, for the forecast wind speed, northern Luzon will have moderate to strong winds moving north east and will also have moderate to rough coastal waters.
The rest of Luzon, as well as Visayas, will have light to moderate winds moving north eastward and will have slight to moderate coastal waters.
For Mindanao, it will have light to moderate winds moving in the north east to east direction and its coastal waters will be slight to moderate.
As for the temperature, Manila will have a maximum 33 degrees Celsius, 30 cegrees Celsius in Davao, 31 degrees Celsius in Cebu, 28 degrees Celsius in Tagaytay, and 22 degrees Celsius in Baguio City.
