Man Jumps & Falls on Tracks of MRT-3
The Metro Rail Transit line 3 MRT-3 operations have been temporarily regulated after man jumped and fell on the tracks.
Around 12:16 on Tuesday afternoon (October 15, 2019), a man identified as Mas Sandamon of Marang Sumisip, Basilan suddenly jumped and fell on the tracks between the Buendia and Ayala stations for an unidentified reason.
The MRT-3 management even described the 21-year-old man as ‘Vagrant’ after lying along the tracks of the train. Sandamon sustained head injuries and immediately passed away after the incident.
The police authorities together with some medical and MRT-3 personnel are already exerting effort to resolve the issue. The normal operation of the train resume two and a half-hours after the incident or at 2:47 pm.
The operation of the train station has been also regulated after the unexpected incident. The Department of Transportation DOTr-MRT3 has yet to release further information regarding the incident.
Meanwhile, the Makati police station would also conduct a background check to determine the victim’s other information.
